To catch up…..

Wow, it’s been a while since I’ve been on here.  I guess you could say that I had nothing to write about, or that my dissertation is taking so much of my writing time that I didn’t want to write about anything else.  Either way, here I am.

To catch you up, I moved back to Colorado in 2013.  I left my great job in California because I felt a “calling from God” to be back home.  Things evolved and moved very quickly and well here I am…back in the 303 for 15 months now.  I don’t really want to go into why the calling became very clear, but it has to do with family.

Anyway, I am here enjoying Colorado, working, still doing the school thing (ok trying to do the school thing), and continuing to enjoy living so close to almost all of my family.  I’ve reacquainted myself with some family members, friends, met some new people, and removed some people out of my life.

I am working by the way…but not in my chosen career field that I have spent SO MUCH money on.  I am back in auto parts (that is a story for another time) for now.   When not working, I’ve been trying to get healthy, so I took up bike riding last year.  Yup no running for this boy….after three knee surgeries, the knee can’t take it anymore.  So I dusted off my 24-year-old mountain bike and rode almost 1000 miles last year.  Lost 16 pounds and feel great!

Did very little off roading, helped out at a soccer tournament in a town I used to live in, watched movies, went to concerts (something I have not done in years), reintroduced myself to photography, and just plain enjoyed Colorado.  So life is as good as it can be.  There has been heartaches, pains, tribulations, successes, celebrations, and joy, but in the end I am so very glad that I listened to God and came back home.

TTFN and I’ll write more often!
